In London was created the first hotel edible. It is composed by three floors of edible décor. This is the advertising idea of an English sugar producer. The company is the Tate & Lyle Sugars, British producer of sugar cane, which has decided to achieve this feat for its new line of products made according to the principles of fair trade. The eight rooms, each inspired by the traditions of one of the sugar-producing countries, were made by a team of 14 pastry chefs and cake designers in over 2000 hours of work.
Each room is characterized by a specific theme, for example, there are: the room of the "Pirates of the Caribbean" and the room "Mediterranean". Both rooms are characterized by different décor entirely edible. In the room "Patriotic" there are two lions more than two meters long made of sugar paste, cakes in the shape of the British Isles and high tower of donuts. There is also a room for intellectuals "Barbados", with bookcases and shelves all for being tasted.
The director of Tate & Lyle said: " The hotel sums up the experience, skills and enthusiasm of our company in the creation of this new line of sugar cane and the versatility of this product for all uses, even the more creative”.
