Copenhagen: the green capital of design
We know that the cities of the northern Europe are more advanced then most of the others in many points of view and therefore the news that Copenhagen was nominated the best city of the world for design is not a surprise. Copenhagen is the capitol of Denmark with a population of 541.989 people. Copenhagen has have always a great sensibility for ecology and all companies, universities and organizations of the territory are constantly involved in environment and eco-sustainability.
For example the city Copenhagen is committed to reduce the emission of CO2 and to make sure that 50% of the population is able to get to the work place or study place by bike. Indeed this city is really ecological with its cycle paths, electrical busses and bike taxies to convince people to leave the car at home.
But the capital of Denmark is not only ecological but also a city of design! We remind you the Dansk Design center, a museum that wants to achieve the target to spread and consolidate the design. In 2008 the capital was nominated of the English newspaper Monocle the best city in the world for design because many buildings are realized by famous Dutch and international architects.
Remember as well that in Copenhagen you can eat in the most famous restaurant of the world, the Noma. You see it is worth visiting the Dutch capital!
